Fleet GAP Insurance

Our Fleet GAP Insurance is suitable for fleets of 5 or more vehicles (Including Cars, Vans, Trucks/ Lorries and Trailers) that are either on lease, contract hire or Finance and whose firms are based in the UK.

All qualifying vehicles in the fleet (that is vehicles less than 4 years old on contract hire and those less than 5 years old on Finance) must be insured to qualify for these rates.

This being a fleet policy, the premiums are paid annually - the exact insurance premium is worked out in 12ths based on the number and type of vehicles on cover each month.

The insurance premium depends on the type and value of the vehicle (and that the rental rate is adequate). Please check that the vehicles can be covered by looking at the policy summaries.

Application

To apply for our Fleet GAP Insurance policy, a manual application is necessary. Please call us during office hours (900 - 1700 Monday - Friday, 900 - 1200 Saturday and we will arrange for a form to be sent to you by fax, post or e-mail. Our telephone number is 01388 607105.

Administration

The initial premium is paid for the vehicles you have on lease/ finance at inception. 8 weeks before the policy is due for renewal we will ask for a declaration for the number and type of vehicles on lease/ hire during the year and an adjustment premium will be calculated (either additional or return) which will be incorporated into the premium for the next year.

Vehicle Use

If the fleet is used for taxi/ self drive hire/ haulage or reward then we may have difficulties in arranging cover and/or the premiums may vary from those quoted above. Naturally you will be advised of the cover/ terms/ premiums before you commit and we do aim for a fast turnaround.
