The 'Alpha' mortgage protection/ loan repayment insurance policy

This mortgage protection insurance or loan repayment protection policy is designed to meet the requirements of people who value the extra cover that it brings. Not only does the contract provide protection against your inability to meet your mortgage payments or loan repayments, but it also provides additional benefits which will be appreciated if you are unable to work due to accident, sickness or unemployment.

• Maximum benefit : £2,500 per month (subject to criteria below)

• 'Back to day one cover effective after 30 days'

• Benefits paid on a daily basis paid monthly in arrears.

• 60 day initial exclusion benefit for unemployment claims

• If you are self-employed the policy covers cessation of trade due to events beyond your control

Extra Benefits provided under the Alpha mortgage protection insurance policy.

• Maximum benefit = monthly mortgage, loan or rent repayments + up to 100% of other regular monthly commitments

• Combined Accident, sickness and unemployment cover only

• One month's hospitalisation benefit provided after 7 days

• Two month's carers' benefit provided after 60 days

• Three months free cover at start of policy

• Confidential back to work service

You are reminded that you have a duty to declare all material facts when applying for any contract of insurance and if they change before the commencement of the contract. Failure to declare all material facts could result in your policy not protecting you in the event of a claim. Examples of material facts for mortgage protection insurance are: job uncertainty, pre-existing health or medical conditions, arrears in your payments etc. If you are in doubt whether a fact is material it should be disclosed.
