Total permanent disability benefit - an example definition

We will pay your benefit if you become totally and permanently disabled and prevented from doing your own occupation or a number of work tasks. Your disability could be as a result of an accident or an illness.

The disability must be irreversible with no reasonable prospect of there ever being any improvement. If you are not in paid work, or you are a house-person, you can only choose the work tasks definition.
