Although regarded as man's best friend, not all animals are treated kindly by their owners. In particular many owners do not bother to arrange cover for their pet and as a consequence can be faced with large Veterinary fees should an accident or illness occur. In addition the owner should note that they are responsible i.e. have a liability for their pet dog if it should, for instance, run out in front of a car!
The insurance policies we recommend are suitable for animals from 12 weeks to 8 years old. Beyond 8 years we are able to offer alternative policies but these, for example, would exclude veterinary treatment for illnesses and would only cover the animal for accidental injury.
The policy is also only available for animals which are kept in the UK. The vast differences in costs of treatment in different countries, (and the legal systems) means that we are unable to offer these policies outside the UK
