Bouncy Castle/ Inflatable Play Equipment insurance - current rates

(These rates are for businesses operating in one fixed locality - NOT for Travelling Showmen or members of the Showman's Guild)

Following a recent court case we have had enquiries from people hiring in bouncy castles for daily cover. We must advise we can only offer cover to people and firms who hire bouncy castles out. Some house contents insurance companies will provide liability cover as standard, so we suggest that you read your policy wording or speak to your insurance broker. As is usual you are more likely to get wider cover through an insurance company that deals with an insurance broker than one that sells direct.

We only offer policies through Leisureinsure - if you have already had a quote from them then we cannot help you - sorry.

Section 1) Damage to equipment

Fire, lightning, explosion aircraft, earthquake, storm, tempest, flood, burst pipes, riot, malicious persons, impact.

Theft 

1. Following forcible entry to or exit from premises by forcible and violent means.
2. From motor vehicles/ trailers involving forcible/ violent means
3. By hirer of equipment providing 2 recent proofs of identity are obtained

Main Conditions

1. Unattended Vehicles/ trailers must be locked and alarmed/ immobilised and kept in a locked building
2. Theft must involve forcible or violent entry t or exit from the premises, vehicle or trailer
3. Property must be securely stored in accordance with Security requirements 

Main Exclusions in section 1

1. Loss or damage caused by wear and tear, depreciation, moth or vermin, mechanical or electrical derangement.
2. Theft not reported to police in 24 hours of the incident
3. The first amount of every claim as advised
4. An excess of £350.00 applies

Premium for Section 1 : £2.63% on value subject to a minimum premium of £262.50

Section 2) : Employers Liability

Indemnity in respect of bodily injury to any employee arising out of and in the course of their employment by the insured arising out of the negligence of the insured. Limit of indemnity : £10,000,000 - premium providing wage-roll is less than £25,000 : £262.50 - higher wage-rolls - refer.

Section 3): Public Liability

Liability for £1,000,000 excluding the first £250 (at least)  of each and every claim (including bodily injury) - larger sums on request.

Main Exclusions

• Any wilful or malicious act
• Accidents to persons over 14 years of age.
• Damage to equipment and accessories
• Accidents occurring whilst the castle is officially closed or deflated
• Bar Fly Equipment

We CANNOT cover risks in Northern Ireland.
