An injury whilst playing football, could result in your players being off work for several weeks with a resulting loss of wages. We can provide accident insurance for your teams against this.

Personal Accident

Registered players of the football club are covered for 11 a side amateur football :-

  1. Whilst engaged as active participants in approved training sessions or practice matches organised by the club and under the supervision of a club official

  2. Whilst traveling to or from away matches in the United Kingdom in an organised party excluding by air or motorcycle. Cover is for 11 players, 5 substitutes, 3 officials, trainer and any specifically insured person

  3. Whilst engaged in matches for and on behalf of the club under the control of a Referee in accordance with the FA rules including friendlies

Public Liability 

Legal Liability to the public for death, injury or illness or damage to property arising out of its activities including food poisoning from sale of refreshments (but not social events) . Excludes member to member liability. Warranted no Stand Accommodation and Spectator Attendance does not exceed 200. (Please e-mail for a bespoke quotation if attendance exceeds 200). - £100 excess. We can organise special one-off event insurance if needed.

All Risks  

Cover for cups, trophies Shields etc in the UK -providing a description is given. - a £25.00 or 10% excess applies. Rate £2.50% + IPT (minimum £10.50 inc IPT)

Notes

  1. All teams must be included at the time of inception and any subsequent teams can be included for an additional premium
  2. Weekly benefit is paid for up to 104 weeks less the excess period
  3. If the premium is paid by instalments the second instalment is due 3 months after inception
  4. Friendly matches on the continent organised by the league can be covered without additional premium subject to a 28 day prior notification
  5. Cover runs from July 1st each year. Teams requesting cover after 30th September will be charged a pro-rata premium but no instalment payments will be available after this date
  6. Cover for small sided matches can be provided on request for an additional premium
  7. Where additional player/members are involved a small extra charge is made
  8. Any player not in full time gainful employment at the time of injury will be subject to reduced benefit.

Exclusions

  1. Any players who are engaged in the playing of association football in a semi or professional capacity
  2. Any fraudulent, dishonest or criminal act committed by any team member or official acting alone or with another
  3. Any claim arising from any team member or official being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  4. War, riot, revolution or any similar event
  5. Whilst travelling by air or motorcycle
  6. All aspects of pre-existing conditions
  7. Failure to follow the advise of a registered medical practitioner.

Claims Procedure

  1. Claim forms must be requested from the insurer within 7 days of the incident
  2. Supporting medical certification will be required for all on-going claims
  3. All claim cheques are sent direct to the club secretary.

The policy will run from July 1st and policies effected after 30th September will have premium reduced
