  • Those who regard motor trade activities as a hobby
  • Persons who regularly change vehicles
  • Those who carry out repairs for family and friends but receive no payment
  • Employees of other motor-trade business who are required to arrange their own insurance
  • Persons who seek motor trade insurance to cover other business or social activities.
• Third Party Cover
  • Unlimited liability for death or injury
  • Damage to property limited to£1,000,000
  • Costs and expenses up to £5,000,000
  • Liability whilst towing a trailer or broken down vehicle
• Fire and Theft
  • Excludes motorcycles, steam driven vehicles, American or Canadian Vehicles, Kit built or Grey Imports
  • Includes cover at your private residence
  • excludes cover within 400 metres of business premises of any motor trader (if not based at home)
  • May exclude cover if keys are not removed or the vehicle is left unlocked
  • Excludes trailer cover, entertainment equipment, tools of trade, personal belongings, documents goods
• Comprehensive Cover
  • Loss or damage to your vehicle - exclusions as above

Drivers

• Must be named, approved and hold a Full UK licence
• Must be proprietor, Director, Business Partner, Employee or Spouse
• Must be between 25 and 69
• Must be resident in UK for 3 years
• Must have no criminal convictions or prosecutions pending
• Must not be in entertainment, sports, bookmakers, journalists, scrap merchants, market tradrs or HM Forces
• Refer if more than 5 drivers required

Demonstration Cover

• If selected the driver must be accompanied at all times.

Excess

• £250.00 excess

Foreign Use

• Available for own cars up to 31 days per annum - cost 2.5% per week Minimum £26.25

• Fleet management, Windscreen fitting, Public Service Vehicles, Self Drive Hire (see our SDH Page)
• Car parking, vehicle storage, Involvement with HGVs, In car entertainment, Agricultural vehicles, Japanese/ Grey imports, motorcycles, vintage and veteran and classics, Vehicle recovery/ breakdown agents

Refer

• Commuting for full-time occupation
• Insurance declined, refused, terms imposed, non-motor criminal convictions
• HGVs, PSV/ Coaches more than 7 seats, vehicle transporters carrying more than 2, Japanese imports
• High performance vehicles, motorcycles, American, Agricultural
• Proposer discloses high-performance or sports
