Professional Let: (Cheapest insurance) Professional buy to let property is defined as rented property where the agreement is long term between the tenant and the owner and the rent is paid in full by the tenant to the owner.
Landlords Insurance: Households on Subsidised Let: A household on a Subsidised let is one where the agreement is between the tenant and owner for at least 6 months but part of the rent is paid by a third party - Usually the DSS. This is different from
A DSS house Let: A DSS home let is defined as one where the agreement is between the owner and the DSS/ housing association and the DSS/ housing association decide who the tenant is.
Asylum Seekers: By law asylum seekers cannot take out tenancy of property so by definition this agreement is between the DSS and the owner.
Student Lets: Obviously a student let is one where the property is occupied by one or more students (usually more than one!) with shared facilities. By nature these are frequently unoccupied during the vacation.
Unoccupied Property / Vacant property: (Contents cover may be available) We can quote very competitive rates for unoccupied / vacant properties with varying levels of cover. The premiums depend on why the property is vacant - this could be - pending sale, waiting to move in, being refurbished before letting out.
