What is a subsidised let?

Return from this subsidised DSS let to landlord quote page

If you need private landlord insurance, you should note we define a subsidised let as property let to an individual or family where the rental agreement is for a period of at least 6 months, the agreement is directly with the tenant but part of the rent is paid by the DSS due to low income or unemployment. This is NOT the same as DSS lets where the agreement is with the DSS or Housing Association

Policies normally offer the options of covering:-

  • The buildings

  • Landlords contents (NOT those of tenants!)

  • Property owners liability

and some contracts may be extended to include accidental damage to the buildings and employers liability
