Link Exchanges

We are willing to participate in link exchanging to provide mutual customers with additional information.

Procedure

  • Send a request to bishop#portwood.co.uk giving details of your website page and the keyword phrase you would like to be included in the link text.

  • Provided that the website is suitable, we will add a link onto the page that we think deals best with the product or service you offer e.g. if you supply caravan accessories we will put the link on one of our caravan insurance pages.

  • We will confirm that we have done this, provide you with details of the page we would like you to link to e.g. in this case http://www.portwood.co.uk/caravan-insurance-frame.htm and the text we would like in the anchor text. e.g. static caravan insurance from Portwood's. If you look at our sitemap : www.portwood.co.uk/portwood-insurance.htm you will see links to our preferred pages.

  • If we do not receive confirmation from you that the reciprocal link has been created within 7 days, we will remove the link. Similarly we will remove our link if we find that your link has been removed, or techniques used to prevent search-engines following the link. The URL, for instance must be a static one and you must not use the 'rel="nofollow"' meta tag.

  • Multiple links will be considered (up to 5) e.g. if you sell caravan accessories and security equipment for caravans with information on two pages then we will link to each page PROVIDING the same number of links link back to us. These links may EITHER be on different pages on your site to the same page on our site OR be on the same page but link to different pages on our site.

  • As we are based in the UK, there must be a compelling reason before we link to sites that do not transact business in the UK.

  • Our programme is based on trust and mutual benefit - sites engaged in commercial link farming will not be considered - we will not link to 'doorway pages' containing little or no valuable content.

  • Take out any annual policy with us (it could be for your business or just for your home or car), agree to include a link to our website from your website as above AND

  • We will create a page on our site providing information about your site and with a link through to it. This page will be optimised for search-engine purposes to your chosen key phrase and will remain in place whilst you maintain your insurance policy and link to our website from yours.
