We believe in offering a choice of motor trade policies. That is why we have arranged for two separate motor trade insurance policies to be made available online. We have also arranged for a bespoke motor trade road risks policy to be available, if you feel that the price we quote does not reflect your business. All options will appear in separate windows.
This motor trade insurance is designed primarily for full or part time motor traders engaged in buying, selling and repairing 'bog standard' family cars and vans. It is based on a 'per capita' basis and offers excellent rates for the clean mature risk with a proven driving ability (An introductory bonus of up to 30% can be allowed). If you need motor trade insurance for 'grey market vehicles', high performance and expensive cars, or you have many drivers, especially those with accidents, claims (even windscreen claims) and convictions then this policy is probably not for you. The following occupations are also unacceptable.
Specialists in the sale, repair or servicing of vintage, 'classic' sports' prestige, fiberglass, American, Canadian or kit vehicles
HGV recovery operators
Motor cycle, coach, bus, HGV or caravan dealers or repairers
'Taxi' Drivers, dealers or repairers
Vehicle delivery agents and dealer transfer agents
Vehicle lessors and self drive hire operators
Vehicle assessors or independent consulting engineers
Agricultural engineers
Salvage dealers/ repairers
Vehicle repossession agents or operators
Business/ company liquidators
Auctioneers
Vehicle importers/exporters - includes any person wholly or partly engaged in the sale of any vehicle imported other than by the manufacturer (grey import)
Vehicle dismantlers or breakers, scrap dealers or second hand parts dealers
Cover is available for those offering full or part time services to the motoring public, for example: mechanics, motor engineers, tuners, servicers, repairers, panel beaters, valeters, breakdown/ accident recovery operators or similar occupations
