Bogus insurance companies.

As with many products, if the price is high enough some operators pretend to be able to offer cover at a much lower price. Sometimes the offer is bona-fide - they might have negotiated a special scheme, other times they may be issuing cover notes either through a company not authorised to transact insurance or through a fictitious company! Always check the details of the insurer when you obtain a quotation. Is it approved by the DTI to transact this form of policy. Liability Cover

As an operator - and presumably being self employed- you must be aware that it is a good idea to protect yourself with liability cover. If you contract for the authority - such as school runs then this will be a requirement. We offer cover up to £5,000,000 and can cover one or several vehicles, including minibus at reasonable rates.
