Our redundancy insurance products are designed to pay a monthly benefit should you become unemployed due to circumstances beyond your control. We have several redundancy insurance policies available (see our table of information) but in general the most important factors are:-

If the answer's are 'No' and 'Yes' respectively then we have one redundancy insurance provider who will look at the risk.
If you want redundancy insurance cover in respect of your mortgage then we have rates from £2.45% (12 months benefits) (at our mortgage protection website)
Who are we?
B. Portwood & Co Ltd are a firm of insurance brokers based in Northern England. We celebrated our 40th year in business in 2003. We were members of the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) - the voluntary regulator of the Insurance industry, having been previously regulated by the Insurance Brokers Registration Council. From January 2005 all insurance regulation is now undertaken by the Financial Services Authority. by whom we are authorised and regulated.

You are reminded of your obligation to on all applications to inform underwriters of all material facts. A material fact is one that might affect your policy in any way. Failure to disclose a material fact can result in your policy being declared void or a claim refused. You must also advise insurers of any change of material facts during the course of a policy. Examples of material facts for redundancy insurance could be - previous redundancies in the business, awareness of poor trading expectation of redundancies in the near future.
