Information on annual travel insurance

Cheap, annual, travel insurance is available for ages up to 85. Annual travel insurance can cover up to 120 days per trip. Annual travel insurance can include winter sports and special family rates.

Unlike many annual travel insurance providers we have researched the market and found those companies that can cover people aged over 65, over 70, over 75 and even over 80 for annual travel insurance. Naturally we cover younger people and families as well!

Comparison

As we are brokers, we are agents of many companies and have therefore provided quotes for them all - we also allow you to compare the excess on the policy (even though you have the option to delete it) and of course give you access to the policy document and policy summary before you purchase.

Maximum Length

The maximum length is, of course, the duration of the longest trip you intend to undertake. Most policies have no limit as to the total length of time you can be out of the UK, but one or two do have a limit of 183 days per year. If you are concerned about this limitation please contact us.

Regions

European, Worldwide, America, are the regions available. Obviously restricting cover to Europe only (and some companies extend Europe to parts of North Africa or the Middle East bordering the Mediterranean) results in a cheaper quote. You can usually extend this if you have to mid-term but the full difference will have to be paid. Worldwide, this usually includes every country other than those where the FCO advises against and those in the New World - America, We recommend you include America, Canada, Caribbean countries and Mexico in your selection of countries visited if you intend to visit them.

Ski - winter sports

Ski - the standard winter sport. Many policies will include winter sports such as ski-ing automatically but some will give a discount if this benefit is not needed. You should also check the type of ski-ing that are covered - off piste, extreme, heli, jumping may be excluded in the policy

Deletion of excess

Our policies are competitively priced however we do not deny there are cheaper ones available. Almost certainly the reason for the cheapness is the excess. Our policies have low excesses - £35 to £65 is typical. We also offer the facility to remove the excess from most claims.

Deletion of cancellation cover

This option may be available on some policies - we do not recommend it - For single trips if you are booking close to departure date there may be no need for cancellation cover, but for multi trips it is definitely recommended. Another point - if you buy a single trip policy cancellation starts immediately - however for a multi-trip policy cancellation starts at the commencement of the policy so do NOT buy a multi trip policy and start cover from the day of travel.
