Travel Insurance to the Islands of Svalbard
Svalbard is a group of islands whose sovereignty is held by Norway. The
small population means that tourism is quite important but the islands haven't been popular
with the UK traveller (too cold probably - they are 78N, well inside the arctic circle.
However being part of Norway they will come under the classification of Europe so travel
insurance for Svalbard won't be expensive.
Svalbard has no other countries bordering.
There is no specific page on the FCO website for Svalbard. We suggest looking
at the page for advice to Norway Generally: http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/europe/norway
