Travel Insurance for people with heart attack, stroke or related condition e.g. angina
If you need travel insurance but have had a heart attack, a stroke or have had corrective surgery e.g.
a heart bypass then this condition has to be declared but we can arrange cover in all but
the worst cases. This applies for people who are over 65, over 70, over 75, over 80 or even
over 85.
As we are insurance brokers we aim to provide travel insurance for as many
people with medical conditions e.g. angina as possible and have found insurers who are
willing to cover people with heart related conditions. They are able to cover people of any
age up to a maximum of three months away.
We have three options for people who have had a recent heart attack
-
A medical only travel insurance policy with a high excess: aimed at
people who just want reassurance that if they do need to make a claim then their costs
will be limited.
-
A standard-type travel insurance policy. The excess will be fairly
typical - £50 or £100 and so will the cover e.g. baggage, cancellation, curtailment
etc
-
A top-quality travel insurance policy with high limits and no excesses -
this is designed to provide assurance for the traveler to know that they are fully
covered.
Your needs and the circumstances of your heart condition may vary - you may
have mild angina or have had a by-pass. Similarly you may be a smoker or have other
aggravating factors. We therefore have three options.
